The Store Collective is a gift and clothing boutique based in Margate and online. We started as a popup in West Lodnon, before moving to the Kent seaside in 2023.

The Store Collective supports and champions independent artists and makers who are ethical, inclusive and forward-thinking. 

With love, we bring together a selection of local makers, artists & designers alongside handpicked independent brands from across the UK and Europe. Resulting in a beautifully curated collective of products, fashion, and art from independent makers & designers, focusing on unusual gifts full of personality.

Our mission is to encourage people to Shop With Purpose, supporting ethical, eco-friendly, design-led, inclusive, and forward-thinking businesses. You'll find gifts for everyone (including yourself), homewares and clothing.

You can browse our collection online or pop into our Margate store.

We believe that it's essential for businesses to stand for something, so we look for our partners to tick certain boxes in the way they work and source their products. This might mean their products show 'Authenticity & Personality', focus on 'Sustainability & Tech' in their design and production methods, or champion 'Inclusivity & Awareness' themes.

Whatever their focus, we want to promote, support and shine a light on these fantastic business owners, who are all positively following their dreams.

Our Partners

Our suppliers are more than just that to us. They are our partners. We know their stories. We follow and support their journey. Kate, who has now talen over from Ian to become the driving force behind the business, has worked with many of them from their early days of trading. We also see something rather special about what they design and make.

We work with independent makers, designers and small business owners, most of whom design or make their products in the UK. We sometimes venture further afield when we find something that we think suits our ethos perfectly, but most of all, we love championing British Made & British Designed.
